danny, you have completely changed how i perceive the relationship and role of guitar to the song it’s in. i’ve never known a more recognisable playing style than your echoey, scratchy one that i can so often hear and know just that it’s you right away, i’ve never experienced that with anyone else! your immense creativity is so insanely recognisable, has inspired post-punk and so much following music, and evoked an atmosphere i didn’t know was possible. i’ve never had music have such a physical impact on me; the guitar on in the flat field hurts my stomach in the best way possible!

you also have a unique voice you know so well how to use, and have inspired me and so many others with your fashion x
