Hiya! I'm Lark (She/her) @just-larking-around is my main bird1ee on ao3

Hi, I'm Lark (she/her)! Otherwise known as that one Tumblr blog that really wants Buck to be hit by a car <3

This is my 911 sideblog, and I follow/like from my main, @just-a-casual-larker! (fair warning I do use this blog to talk abt other shows every once in a while too :) )

My ask box is always open!! please feel free to send me stuff, I LOVE getting asks!

On a similar note, I love love love reccing fanfic, so please feel free to ask me for some! I read entirely too much fic and I love sharing my favorites :)

Here's a list of my tags:

  • #lark lectures - my unhinged ramblings
  • #lark writes - I occasionally post snippets/links to my fics
  • #my art - pretty self explanatory lol
  • #911 spec - for when I'm clowning abt what I want to happen season 9
  • #lark liveblogs - I'll be using this tag when I'm liveblogging watching/rewatching episodes!
  • #911 spoilers - the tag I will be posting under when I discuss anything spoiler-y! (DEFINITELY block this tag if you don't want to know anything about the new episodes!)
  • (HEAVY SPOILERS AHEAD) #tw addiction is a good one to block if you will be uncomfortably with discussions surrounding it considering Buck's upcoming arc
  • #fic recs - this is where I'll give any fic recs that I have!

Fanfics:

actually getting to deal with the fallout of eddie getting stabbed and almost bleeding out alone in the elevator is actually the MOST important to me and has been top of my wishlist all summer because. hello. that is the most significant, dire injury he has personally endured since the shooting. he almost bled out, and there was no one there to pull him out. he was trapped and alone, and there was no tunnel or exit he could miraculously find his way out through. the parallel speedrun through every single hallmark of the events leading up to the will decision in the last few episodes of season 9 is insane and what if it’s alllll about setting up eddie finally revisiting that decision and what it actually meant now that he almost died again hellooooo

Look, I'm a Buck girl all the way, but I'm begging on my knees for them to give Eddie a storyline that actually leads somewhere. Like please stop isolating that man constantly. Let him feel supported by his 118 family and be the one to be taken care of for once. Give him narrative purpose outside of being a dad and Buck's "friend", and room to explore who he is beyond those roles and responsibilities. Have all that internal conflict actually result in some kind of growth. And for the love of god, let him finally embrace joy for good (and keep it).

The bad part about Buddie canon is that if it happens and you didn't watch it live you'll know. Like it will break the internet and you will be spoiled so hard.
