i have had much better luck convincing people to give HRT a try by telling them that it isn't permanent and that they can always change their minds, rather than trying to convince them anything about their identity or what they should call themselves. I am just saying
so like. all HRT is reversible in the exact same way that medical transition is even possible to begin with. people can be on HRT for years and then stop, and take steps to change whatever other parts of their body they want to.
i was on T for 7 years before i stopped. and i did work to change some of the things T did to my body. i've known people who were on E and developed breasts and eventually got top surgery to remove them!
i know you're meaning well, but even this attitude isn't helpful, ime. medical transition is simply not as straightforward for plenty of trans people, and the fact is you can stop WHENEVER YOU WANT!! and you can do that totally independent of your gender identity or desired presentation.
take HRT. stop taking HRT. restart HRT. do whatever you want! nothing you do is truly permanent, and everything can be changed. medical transition is whatever you want it to be.

The thing society as a whole doesn’t understand about nature is that absolutely nothing is just a worm or just a bug or just a plain little fish that does nothing but swim around and eat until it dies. Every single animal has a complicated life and habits. Minnows make nests out of pebbles. Slugs have courtship rituals. Fruit flies have territorial battles and when they can’t get laid they become alcoholics all in those few days that they even exist on earth. Just the functions of the different body parts of a dust mite can fill a lecture and we still don’t completely understand everything about its life habits or its biochemistry.

so i hauve covid rn and i must say, American cold medicine is the absolute bees knees. You go to a UK pharmacy and they tenderly press like eight (8) paracetamol into the palm of your hand... God FORBID you're sick in France, i had to scour every pharmacy in Paris for something that wasn't HOMEOPATHIC PASTILLES. meanwhile last night i took the last of my stash of Nyquil that expired in 2019 and it was like getting hit by a fucking baseball bat (affectionate). press X to timeskip. LOVE me a cheeky little medically induced coma. you can really feel that it's a precursor to meth. i know that everything is fucking awful over there my friedns and my heart goes out to every one of you but if you need one small bright light of national pride in this time of strife please know that i envy you your cold medicine every day
i once took an american antihistamine pill just a basic one for seasonal allergies and i had to immediately lay down and while doing so i vividly hallucinated that i was a steerage passenger on the titanic resigned to my death as my cabin filled up rapidly with water. then i blacked out and when i woke up again my allergies were gone for the entire season.
