Pro-censorship wattpad refugees drama is so funny to me because when I started using ao3 as a kid I was a devout mormon and I thought that reading anything even remotely pornagraphic was a sin and would ruin my life. So when I was 13 and found ao3 I went "oh awesome I found a fanfic website with a filtering system so I won't ever randomly stumble into porn. This is great! I was really worried about seeing something I didn't want to see on the other platforms." I didn't read any smut online until like three years later. If a mormon 13 year old can figure out 'don't like don't read' wattpad users can too cmon you guys i believe in you.

this ask at @hotvintagepoll got me thinking about hadestown casting for vintage actors! so here's my thoughts.

my favourite orpheus of all time is j. antonio rodriguez. I saw him live on tour a few years ago and he played it with such a perfect mix of joy, hope, anger, and desperation (his if it's true was honestly life changing) that I can't imagine orpheus any other way. patrick adiarte reminds me a little of him, and that smile makes me think he'd be perfect.

I love a tough, funny, take-no-shit eurydice who can still be vulnerable and loving. rita moreno could absolutely KILL it. also, the big dance scene in living it up on top? I think she's the only person who could have as much fun as eva noblezada does.

hermes needs to be able to wake up the crowd and get them excited for the show, but he's also very aware that he's telling a sad story. william marshall could definitely get that mournful tone and make you feel with him.

thinking about the fates, I could really only picture the ronnettes and other girl groups in the 1960s. this is where it becomes very very obvious I love little shop of horrors.

persephone is so obviously perfect for eartha kitt there's almost no point discussing it, but I would love to see nichelle nichols in the role too. (not to drag this poll back into things, but it's criminal it wasn't a 50/50 tie.)
