AEP Clean Energy Resources, the competitive renewable energy subsidiary of United States-based American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP), has completed the purchase of Sempra Renewables LLC and its 724 megawatts (MW) of operating wind generation and battery assets.

Acting through its subsidiaries, the company will sell its 203MW (gross) portfolio of wind generation assets to DIF Infrastructure V, a fund managed by global infrastructure fund management company DIF, and its 142 MW portfolio of solar power generation assets to Goldman Sachs Renewable Power LLC.
