Vauxhall, a subsidiary of General Motors Corporation (NYSE: GM), is reportedly offering GBP1,000 more than webuyanycar.com for 67-plate part-exchanges.
The part-exchange programme is offered on all newly registered 67-plate Vauxhall cars, and is eligible on new models ordered and registered before September 30.
Part-exchanges can work well if you are struggling to sell your home but it's important to do your sums carefully.
Builders usually only offer part-exchange if your old home is worth at least 30 per cent less than the new one.
BCA's Simon Henstock said: "We have seen an upturn in the supply of dealer part-exchanges at BCA in 2013, reflecting reports that retail sales have been strong.
Average used car values in 2013 have seen a substantial year-on-year rise over 2012 and values have also risen sharply for dealer part-exchange vehicles, as professional buyers have focused on older higher mileage cars.
It means high quality part-exchanges are now commanding premium prices as dealers struggle to replace sold models with the right cars.
It seems that record low used car forecourt stocks have made dealers happy to pay top dollar for high quality part-exchanges says CAP, the car information experts.
