We are a small charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with physical disabilities through Conductive Education.

Conductive Education is a Hungarian practice that was founded in 1945 by Dr Andras Peto. It is a system of learning which is designed to teach those with neurological motor disorders, such as Cerebral Palsy, to improve their motor skills and increase their independence in completing everyday tasks.

The practice is based on a simple concept of human potential; meaning that everyone has the capability to learn and develop irrespective of their starting point. It combines education, psychology and medical science and considers all aspects of the person simultaneously. By focusing on a child’s starting point and assessing what they “can do” our skilled practitioners then develop a program for each child which aims to enhance and improve their skill set.

Each child's program will have specific activities to target all 5 areas of child development, as recognised by paediatricians:

• Gross motor
• Fine motor
• Speech and language
• Cognitive and intellectual
• Social and emotional awareness
