I’ve started a thing.
That thing needs stories. Feed me your fiction, and I’ll feed the thing.
Bardic Planet is the thing.

Drop me an email if you're interested (easier for me to stay organised).
Reviews are honest, sometimes harsh, but always fair. I don't go easy—not even on my own stories.

DM's fine. But I'm more likely to see an email.

The next three weeks worth of reviews has now been booked. Everyone who's emailed, I've given you a date for when the review goes live.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to binging your stories.

I sent an email :). Thanks for offering such a high quality service, the content on your website looks great, the reviews were genuinely engaging and detailed.
Also, I am prepared for my fiction to be torn apart! (If you have time)

Quick question, are there any particular stories that you’re interested in reading? Granted, I’m very open for reviews but not too open that I’ll just anybody do it, especially if it doesn’t exactly click with them.
Not to mention I hate the type who are overly negative and merely made to attack and insult the author just because they personally dislike the story. If that’s the case, may as well not write the story at all.

To clarify, I have no intentions on tearing anyone's work apart. I only mention that my reviews can be harsh as a general warning because I also don't plan on pulling punches.
The only reason for the warning is that I have a review dropping today which could be considered scathing. It's absolutely honest, and I still highlight what I feel is great about the story and why that particular fiction is as popular as it is. But writing it made me realise that for volunteers (as opposed to titles I'll seek out myself) I should definitely let people know that the review might not be traditionally glowing.
Even if I don't personally like a story, if it's well constructed, I'll review it positively. The worst thing I'll say about a story I didn't enjoy, that is otherwise well written, is that I didn't enjoy it. I'll then focus the review from the perspective of the target readership of that particular story.
I write too. I know how much passion, frustration, and longing goes into creating these worlds. I'm not looking to tear them down. Everything is intended constructively.

I've already read quite a few chapters of your story.
You have a strange mind—I love it.
The review's scheduled for next week Thursday. But if I have it ready before then, I might drop it earlier. I'll let you know beforehand. I have quite a few to get through, so posting on an earlier slot would allow me to get to everyone else faster.

I've put together a review policy on the website. Please take a look if you're waiting on a review.
The Policy
Also, the review that inspired the harshness warning at the start of this thread has now gone live. I encourage everyone to check it out, along with the other reviews, to see if Bardic Planet’s style is something you’d actually want directed at your own work.

So you are going from a novel about stealing monsters powers to a novel about stealing mutant dogs powers. Homie speedrunning the power stealer trope, suffering it in all its forms.
Respect.
Edit: I think the term is twice removed, not remained. But could be an oddity of english.

I can tell you now, I think your story is something of a masterpiece. There are some issues which I'll get into in the review. But from what I've read, I'm already blown away.
As for the cousin joke, "twice remained" was intended to emphasise the closeness of the blood relation. I've edited slightly to clarify the joke. It might take a while to update on the site though.
Thank you for pointing that out.
