The cat I have indeed acts like a raccoon, banging against my window, patiently waiting for me when I get home to give him canned cat food, and being extremely talkative for a cat.

My apartment? No outdoors shoes indoors. As you can tell by its name, outdoors shoes belong outdoors. 

In the family house I do tend to use shoes, since we mostly spend time in the garden and we go in and out the door all the time.

Outside shoes are for outside.
Inside shoes are for inside.
You don't wear outside shoes inside, and you don't wear inside shoes outside.
This is the way.

I'm from NZ. We don't wear shoes.
