The short answer, a singer-songwriter who became really famous.
Target audience: women.
So I understand why you might’ve not heard of her. Mhm… But really, I am responding because I want to get into the long answer.


The long answer:
When she was a child she won a national poetry contest.  So she was always good at writing poetry, and one of the reasons her songs are well liked, is because the story behind the songs are kinda awesome, and the poetry of it all is good. 

Here is a quick summary of one storyline so that you’ll understand what I mean: 

Characters:
Taylor Swift vs Kanye West (famous rapper)
Kanye West & his wife Kim Kardashian (someone who is famous due to being famous, also has a reality tv).

This story begins when Taylor Swift was 19, she went to get an award and while holding the mic thanking people, Kanye West(much older) came up on stage, took the microphone from her hand and said someone else deserved that award. Had his mic drop moment, and stepped out. This ‘plotline’, started from this moment. 

Fast fw’d a few years, and Kanye wrote a song and in it he said that he made Taylor Swift famous, referring to that moment. He also included a few more explicit things.

Now the public started complaining at Kanye, so he then said that he called Taylor Swift and she approved the lyrics. Which sounded like an obvious lie, it just doesn’t fit TS’s persona at all. And Swift also said that it wasn’t true.

But suddenly, Kim released a recording of a phone call between TS and Kanye showing TS did in fact approve the lyrics. And that is where it all exploded in her face.

I recall that there was something like 100k ‘snake’ emojis being commented on her Instagram page, to a point where the app itself had to create new tools to help combat the issue.

Forward a couple of years, and the Reputation Album came out. A fantastic album, that talks about the above plotline. And she wore the “snake” imagery like a brand. She started her tour riding on a Giant Snake named “Karyn” for Karyn and Kim (Kardashian).  And half the album was very vengeful and upbeat.
With sentences like “"Friends don't try to trick you / Get you on the phone and mind-twist you. “
"They're burning all the witches even if you aren't one / They got their pitchforks and proof / Their receipts and reasons." 

When you know the plotline behind the album, listening to it, and watching it, becomes very very enjoyable.

Now to conclude this plot line. Fast fw’d to Covid days. Kim and Kanye are now divorced. Kim has a new reality show that is about to come out, and in my opinion was thinking of the best way to promote said show, thus she released the full UNEDITED recording of the phone conversation, where Taylor Swift’s words really were twisted, and it doesn’t sound the same as the original edited version (So Taylor Swift was right, and her words were twisted). //Note that it has not been confirmed that the ‘leak’ was done by Kim, but for the sake of the plotline this works for me, it also is what makes the most sense in my opinion that it is from her/her team but that was never confirmed.

Anyway, it was an experience to watch everything unfold a bit by bit, like reading an exciting story with the comeback of an OP MC. It made me feel, cheer, and then dance to the music. Also some of the music was really fitting in the background when sitting down to hunt some bot spammers to ban.

There are multiple other situations that were just as fascinating and they usually repeat the same theme, literally plotlines with an antagonist, her being wronged, and her come back being just epic.
Enjoying this unfold in real time, is not much different than enjoying any good OP MC, progression fantasy. I said what I said.
