Time Out Corner

This goldfish is too tired. So I'm gonna put myself on time-out here.
Feel free to join me in this time-out corner. Misery loves company.
Pls entertain me with stories about when you realized you seriously needed more sleep.
(But I may be too busy sulking to reply you.)

I woke up with fishes all over me. I realized I have fallen sleep while wearing VR.

I just want to shut down for a few days. The heat is unbearable. Just make it stop....

Got my google docs mixed up. Almost posted chapters of Brom in the Intern's Guide.

I once wanted to delete a single word, but my brain went blank for like a minute and I deleted 6 paragraphs instead. (God bless crt Z)

It's more work pretending to be miserable because of the heatwave than being miserable from the heat itself.
But I'm the weird one that grew up in this crap.
When in Rome right?

So, I woke up this morning...

The sad part is the average romcom anime male protag would still not get the hint.

I've been editing non-stop to mimic a vent journal with counselor's notes. Let's just say it is very difficult as trying to make it feel real requires a lot of thinking

Not getting enough sleep = mixing up my student’s names (they get so offended!) and generally not being able to talk like a human, which is stellar when trying to teach kids how to read.
Also tends to trigger dizzy/overheating spells while doing something simple like sitting upright at the computer.
But it’s not easy getting enough sleep! Even making enough time for it is no guarantee that you’ll actually be able to sleep.
Hope you got some rest, my favorite goldfish.

I'll sit in the corner with you as I chugga chugga to my doc's appt. Will do my best not to eat the fish.

Thanks for hanging out with me and making time-out fun (and also a bit weird).
I'm okay. Just enjoy being spoilt.
Lack of sleep + Hot weather + Work stress + Additional social obligations + my writing... I had to put another work on hiatus yesterday (don't worry, on another platform).
I think that was the trigger to my internal meltdown. I was so confident cos I had 2 months of reserved chapters. But it ran out and I haven't had time, energy, or brain space to properly write it. Now that story is left on a hiatus cliffhanger - just before the end boss meets the heroine face to face. What an evil thing to do to my readers!
But I did get 6 hours of sleep. And I'm taking Monday off work. I also have the advantage of being easily distracted from a bad mood.
So I will survive this.

Go strong, Katis. Baby steps are still steps.
But sleep more.
But sleep more.
