Hello all!
My name is Derek. Myself and two of my close friends, Ian and Ciaran, have been playing DnD for a long while and decided to start writing a narrative retelling of our current campaign.
The Ridgeton Tales
While The Ridgeton Tales isn't a typical LitRPG, it is still a gripping and fun adventure-filled fantasy story. Think more like Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves as far as narrative and storytelling. You won't see in-game mechanics play out in our story like you would in a LitRPG, but you'll pick up on when we use certain spells and recognize the call backs to the beloved ttrpg. The authors write from their campaign character's perspective, bringing three DnD characters to life on Royal Road.

I feel you buddy!
I did exactly the same thing!
The only difference was that I was in a set-up Xianxia/Cultivation and I made the in-game mechanics myself, instead of using the DnD set of rules.
I’m surprised that this kind of « tales » based on TTRPG sessions are not more popular. It’s so much fun.

Nice to see other people who have DnD campaign inspired fictions!
