Qt for Android Automotive 6.10 release plan

This will be the final Qt for Android Automotive release of Qt 6.9.

Qt for Android Automotive 6.10 will be released mid-October and it will bring 2 major new features:

    • Content projection that allows mirroring of Qt or native Android apps from Android based infotainment to Automotive Grade Linux or QNX based driver display. A practical example of this feature would be showing the navigation or music streaming content to the driver display, even if it's on a separate chip or operating system.
    • Rendering as a service will make it possible to run Qt Quick application as a service. The views of this application can then easily be show in multiple native Android applications allowing users to display the same 3D scene in multiple applications at the same time or from different angles, with next to no waiting time on startup.

Both of the features will come out in as a Technical Preview and are set to be promoted to a fully stable in Qt for Android Automotive 6.11.
