Welcome to TailTag
A real-world fursuit catching game to help make friends at furry conventions!
New player guide
A friendly reason to say hello
TailTag is a social discovery game for furry conventions. Players find participating fursuiters, say hi, and add them to their catches in the app. Each catch helps build your con adventure, complete tasks, and unlock achievements.
TailTag is built around friendly, respectful interactions: compliments, photos, quick chats, and the little moments that make conventions memorable.
How to play
Four simple steps at the con
You can play casually or chase every challenge. Either way, the loop starts with one respectful interaction.
- 1
Find TailTag players
Look for participating fursuiters around the con. They may share their TailTag profile, wear a badge, or let people know they are catchable.
- 2
Say hi respectfully
Start with a compliment, a wave, a photo request, or a quick introduction. If they seem busy, resting, eating, performing, or moving through a crowd, give them space and try again later.
- 3
Catch them in the app
Once you have had a real interaction, add the catch in TailTag. Your catch becomes part of your weekend progress and helps you remember who you met.
- 4
Keep exploring
Complete daily tasks, earn achievements, revisit familiar faces, and discover fursuiters you might not have met otherwise.
Why it helps
Less awkward, more memorable
Conventions can be exciting, but starting conversations can still be hard. TailTag gives you a reason to approach someone without making it awkward.
Instead of wondering what to say, you have a shared game, a simple opener, and a low-pressure way to connect. For new attendees, that can turn the con from a place full of strangers into a weekend full of small, friendly moments.
TailTag is not designed to be a replacement for real conversation. It helps make more of those conversations happen.
Con etiquette
The catch matters less than kindness
- Ask before taking photos, touching a suit, or joining an interaction.
- Do not block paths, follow people, interrupt handlers, or pressure anyone to participate.
- Let fursuiters rest, perform, talk privately, or get where they need to go.
A missed catch is fine. A good interaction matters more than game progress.
Example first catch
From quick hello to familiar face
You are walking through the hotel lobby and spot a fursuiter whom you'd like to meet. You walk up to them, wave, compliment their character, and ask whether they would be up for a photo for TailTag.
They say yes. After the photo, you open TailTag, add the catch, and see it count toward your daily challenge.
Later that weekend, you recognize them again at another meetup. Now they aren't just another fursuiter; they're someone you have already met and can catch up with!
Daily challenges and achievements
Small goals for a bigger weekend
TailTag gives you reasons to keep exploring without forcing you into one play style. A few meaningful catches can matter just as much as a full collection.
