The Gulbenkian Foudnation in Lisbon has announced that Gulbenkian Música has extended the contract of Music Director Hannu Lintu until 2030. At the same time the contract of choir conductor has been extended for the same period.

The Great Falls Symphony has named Dutch-American conductor Robert Kahn, 32, as its new Music Director, ending a nearly two-year search for the right candidate. He succeeds Grant Harville, who held the position for eight years.

The San Francisco Symphony announced that Hong Kong born Elim Chan, 39, will become the Orchestra’s next Music Director, beginning in September 2027. Succeeding Esa-Pekka Salonen, Chan will be the 13th Music Director in the San Francisco Symphony’s 115-year history when she takes the post in the 2027–28 season for an initial six-year term.

Following a long relationship with the Hallé for over 30 years, 55-year old British composer and conductor Thomas Adès will become the orchestra’s Principal Guest Conductor from the 2026/27 season, the Hallé announced.
