    Multiple dates available
Tucked away down a hidden hallway, No Relation is an intimate nine-seat sushi restaurant inside Shore Leave. Led by Chef Colin Lynch and Chef Jin, our inventive Omakase highlights Japanese techniques with a creative twist, offering 17-courses each night. The experience is $225 per person* (exclusive of 7% state sales tax, gratuity is not accepted), with a curated beverage menu, supplements, and additional bites available at an additional a la carte pricing. Join us in a shared intimate experience with a thoughtfully curated menu, served directly by our chefs. We offer two seatings nightly at 6:00 PM & 8:30 PM, each lasting up to two hours. A credit card is required to secure your reservation per the cancellation policy. A final bill is presented at the conclusion of your experience for payment on site. *As of September 2, 2025, you’ll notice the price for our Omakase menu is listed differently. Due to new regulations from the Massachusetts Attorney General, we can no longer list an admin fee as a separate percentage at the bottom of our menus and checks. Instead, you’ll now see a total price listed for our Omakase menu at No Relation. Previously, the menu was $185 with an admin fee of $40.70, totaling $225.70 before tax. You’ll now see that listed as one price: $225. The menu hasn’t changed, and the price to you as the guest is exactly the same—okay, $0.70 less. No Relation remains a gratuity-free space, so aside from any beverages and extra bites you choose to add, the Omakase price you see is an all-in, pre-tax price.

Wonderful experience at No Relation, the sushi was very good with exceptional fish quality, the presentation nice. They went out of their way to make my wife's birthday dinner a special one for her. Very much appreciate the small extra touches they did for her. Very much made this a memorable dining experience.

This is one of the best sushi restaurants in the US that offer omakase menu. I am Japanese who was born and grew up in Tokyo. The food was outstanding and not so Americanized unlike many other sushi places in the US. And, our server Torie was extremely nice, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made our dinner unforgettable. We will be back!

We have been to No Relation several times when visiting Boston, as we live about two hours away. We have never had a bad experience, in fact, we have always left there saying it is our favorite Omakase experience. The staff is always amazing, explains things very well, and are very accommodating. And additionally, they are very fun and engaging. We will be back!

Let them decide! The waygu at the end is an awesome dish. Can't miss on the miso salmon either!

That Miso salmon is one of my favorite bites we have ever done! It's available a la carte at Shore Leave too if you're ever just looking to have one and not do an entire omakase. Thanks for joining and leaving a review. Hope to see you again. Cheers, Ryan

The ambience and atmosphere was great. The customer service of the chefs and server were amazing as well. I really appreciated how warm and welcoming they were and the music selections. It's modern, vibrant, and hip. My only thing is the menu/food. While some dishes were pretty good, others felt lackluster, unbalanced, or just... something you could find anywhere. For omakase, I look for a menu that's cohesive, delicious and a unique representation of the place or chef. For example, some of my nigiri had way too much wasabi. Another example was the tuna tartare which mixed in uni and tasted a bit confusing. Overall, the experience was great but the food was okay.

Hi Madeline, Thanks so much for joining and leaving such a thoughtful and lovely review. They really make a difference and we appreciate that you'd recommend us! I'm glad you enjoyed the vibes but I'm sorry we fell a little flat on food for you. We definitely toe the line between inventive and Edomae where the fish is very simply prepared. I've made a note on your profile, but when you come back feel free to let our chefs know you prefer a little less wasabi! They're more than happy to accommodate and are super flexible. I'll also note that a lot of the more inventive nigiri preparations are also available a la carte at Shore Leave if you ever want to just have a few pieces of the things you know you love! Hope to see you again. With gratitude, Ryan

FAQs

Portions come as a multi-course omakase of many small, carefully composed bites rather than traditional large plates. Expect about 14–17 delicate courses that focus on quality and progression rather than large servings. Guests frequently note the pacing is perfect but you can order extra bites (like A5 wagyu or other add‑ons) toward the end if you’re still hungry.

Partly, guests do bring teens and celebrate birthdays with children, so families are welcome for special occasions. That said, the nine-seat counter and multi-course omakase format aren’t tailored for very young children or fussy eaters. For younger kids, consider calling ahead to discuss options or choose an earlier seating.

Busiest: weekend evenings and holidays or special dates, guests often celebrate anniversaries and New Year’s Eve here. Quietest: weekday nights (Monday–Thursday) tend to be calmer and better if you prefer a more low-key pace. Regardless, the nine-seat counter keeps even quieter nights intimate, so book early for your preferred vibe.

Yes, the restaurant lists daily evening hours (6:00 PM–10:30 PM), and guests report experiences on holidays such as New Year’s Eve. Because hours are listed as daily, it’s reasonable to expect holiday service, but call ahead for specific holiday availability and special seating.

If you want a celebratory atmosphere, a weekend night or holiday will feel lively and festive. If you prefer a quieter, more personal experience, choose a weekday evening. In all cases, reserve well in advance, the intimate counter fills quickly and many guests recommend booking early.

Warm, modern, and intimate, guests describe a hip, vibrant speakeasy feel with thoughtful music and engaging staff. The space feels elevated but relaxed: cozy counter seating, lively conversation, and attentive chefs who explain ingredients and sourcing. Many guests call it both elevated and approachable, perfect for a memorable night out.

Yes, No Relation is a highly recommended spot for date night. It’s an intimate nine-seat omakase counter with a cozy, modern vibe and attentive service that many guests say makes celebrations feel special. The roughly 17-course tasting and optional sake or wine pairings create a memorable, shareable experience ideal for anniversaries or special evenings. Book early and mention any celebration so the team can add thoughtful touches.

For a lively, celebratory vibe, go on a weekend or holiday evening, guests rave about New Year’s Eve and special‑occasion energy. If you prefer a quieter experience, try a weekday night when the counter tends to feel calmer. Regardless, book early; the nine‑seat format fills up fast and many guests recommend reserving in advance.

Yes, the team is accommodating. Guests report that staff handled birthday surprises, allergies, seating preferences, and small adjustments (even room temperature) with care. If you have dietary needs or are celebrating an event, call ahead or note it in your reservation so the host and chefs can help tailor the experience.

Smart casual is recommended. The restaurant lists a smart-casual dress code, and guests typically dress neatly for the elevated omakase experience, think polished but comfortable attire suitable for a special evening out.
