Jack Sorensen joined the THQ management team in August 2001 and was with the company until October 2008. In his role as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Studios, Sorensen oversaw the company’s internal production staff, as well as each of THQ’s internal development studios including Rainbow Studios, Volition, Inc., Pacific Coast Power & Light, Co., Cedar Ridge Construction, Heavy Iron Studios, Cranky Pants Studios, Outrage Games and THQ’s Game Boy Advance studio, Helixe. He also managed THQ’s product and studio acquisition activities.
Previously, as president of LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC, Sorensen managed the company through a period of rapid growth for more than six years. Before being appointed to president at Lucas, Sorensen managed product development, as well as international and business operations for the company. Sorensen holds a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
