Hi everyone, today we're launching new launchpad which is. A way to get you an instant hosted postgres without any configuration. You don't even need to have a NEON account and you can do that either from the browser from this website. Where you can Click to try it on the browser and immediately get a new project setup for you with a fresh postgres account and then you can copy your connection string and go put that on your project. Or you can use the CLI package to run it straight on your terminal and even use a vit plugin for it. So let's check this one out. Now I'm on my brand new Vt Project app and I can just pop up the terminal and I can run newdb here. And if I run with no flags, it's going to prompt me for some questions. So I'm going to use the defaults for this one, and that's going to then instantiate a new database for me. And once that is done, I have a URL where I can go and claim it. And I also have the M already set up. So this is all quite nice and if you don't have a big project you can go like that. Otherwise you can have. Our fresh new NEON database with plugin Postgres installed, and the way you're going to use that is by importing the plugin here. So we're going to import. Postgres plugin. And are going to add. As the first plugin to be executed. And what this is going to do is that every time you run dev, it's going to check if you have a dot in file and if you have a database setup in your data in file. And if you don't, it's going to hook you up with a brand new postgres instance for you to just start working without the connection strings up in there. And. The best parts of all that is that the code is open source, so you can go there and check the code both for the CLI and for the plugin. And our NEON database org as NEON DBC Eli. And you can add issues, you can give us some feedback, and you can even contribute to that. So I hope you have tons of fun with this one.
