Brief Description

The Resident Account Specialist (RAS) will provide exceptional administrative support to assigned communities and engage with residents to improve customer satisfaction and optimize community performance. Operating from our Orlando office, this position reports directly to the Director of Training and Support. The RAS will be responsible for specific administrative tasks and transactions, including bookkeeping, collections, renewals, and more while ensuring excellent customer service across multiple communities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete Pre-AME and AME checklists and discuss findings with Community/Regional Manager.
  • Work with current and former residents on delinquency, collections, and payment plans.
  • Initiate lease violations, late rent reminders, 3-day notices, and file evictions/writs.
  • Generate renewal offers and manage the renewal process, including renewal of renters insurance policies.
  • Monitor liability insurance compliance and manage communication with residents accordingly when forced placed.
  • Support residents in online onboarding, service requests, payments, and renewals.
  • Finalize Final Account Statements (FAS) and communicate with accounting/residents.
  • Provide support for purchasing, invoice, and overall fiscal management.
  • Oversee collections efforts with Pay Ready or an assigned service provider.
  • Prepare regular communication and reporting to Community/Regional Managers.

Requirements

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Ability to understand, analyze and process financial and accounting information and tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven experience managing demanding and high-expectation customers and situations while maintaining professional, constructive verbal and written etiquette and a hospitality-mindset.
  • Working knowledge of applicable Landlord Tenant Laws, Fair Housing mandates, and other legal issues affecting property management.
  • Proficient computer skills in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and RealPage OneSite.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience within multifamily property management.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced position that requires strong organizational skills and independent task management.
