Associate Designer

A contemporary fashion brand in Los Angeles is seeking a CAD Designer/Associate Designer to join their team. This hybrid role is onsite Monday–Thursday with remote Fridays.

Position Details:

• Role: CAD Designer / Associate Designer
• Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid – Onsite Mon–Thurs, Remote Fri)
• Pay: $28–$30/hr (based on experience)
• Potential: Freelance
• Start Date: ASAP (2–3 interviews)

Responsibilities:

• Create CADs, flat sketches, mood boards, and tech packs in Illustrator
• Conduct trend and concept research to support seasonal collections
• Build and maintain line sheets, sample libraries, and fabric/trim archives
• Support fittings, record comments, and track revisions
• Partner with factories/vendors on sample updates, WIPs, and production details
• Provide administrative support for private label and development projects

Qualifications:

• 5–6 years of experience in fashion/apparel (contemporary preferred)
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel
• Strong background in CADs, sketches, mood boards, and tech packs
• Highly organized with strong multitasking and problem-solving skills
• Domestic production experience preferred; Spanish language skills a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
