Lib4RI and Wikimedia CH (WMCH) start a joint project to bring more science to #Wikipedia   Together with Matteo Cinelli at the Sapienza Università di Roma, #WMCH has developed an analytical workflow that compares information sources - Lib4RI's institutional repository #DORA, the preprint server arXiv, and YouTube - against #Wikipedia to surface "knowledge gaps." Google Trends data is then used to identify which of these gaps are of active interest to the public. This lets us approach researchers at Eawag, Empa, PSI Paul Scherrer Institut and Eidg. Forschungsanstalt für Wald, Schnee und Landschaft WSL whose expertise can help close the gaps that matter most.   Starting today, we are opening the #call for a Wikipedian in Residence to lead this work: at least 12 months, 80–100%, based at one of the Lib4RI locations.
