You’ve probably noticed we talk about pollinators a lot, and that’s simply because we’re a little obsessed 🐝. Today we’re sharing a few snapshots from our “little” pollinator garden across from the Studio at Weir River Farm in Hingham @weirriverfarm, where the bees are absolutely loving it! Pictured left to right are some of our amazing Seasonal Crew members there, Chris and Emily, our Full-Time Steward Pat, New Southeast Trails Specialist Kenny, and Stewardship Manager Sean. This team, along with many not pictured, has had an incredible impact on the beauty and presentation of our South Shore properties. Their talent, hard work, and positive attitude have been nothing short of inspiring this year. 👀 Can you guess this Trustees special place? ✨ Clue 1: Massive cave-like rock formations, shaped by ancient glaciers, create natural shelters and dramatic landscapes. ✨ Clue 2: Centuries ago, Native Americans used this southern-facing rock enclosure as a winter camp. ✨ Clue 3: In the early 1900s, it was even a popular stop on the “Copper Line” trolley route. ✨ Clue 4: Today, you can explore three miles of trails, spot wild turkeys and painted turtles, see the striking Balance Rock perched high above the forest floor or visit the trailside cabin for great views of Carter Pond.
