The Black Employee Network (BEN) invited guest speakers Chantil Goring and Astra Glynn for an engaging session on the history and cultural significance of Carnival. Employees learned about Carnival’s roots in emancipation celebrations, the stories behind traditional mas characters, and the role Carnival continues to play in celebrating freedom, resilience, and identity. The event wrapped up with a hands-on headpiece-making activity, where employees put their creativity on display by designing their own Carnival-inspired creations. It was a fun and meaningful opportunity to learn and celebrate culture through both education and creativity.
