On Friday, Metrolinx President and CEO, Michael Lindsay, participated in a fireside chat at the Toronto Railway Club's business luncheon to share key updates on the delivery of Metrolinx's capital program. Speaking with moderator, Sylvia Newell, President, Canadian Association of Railway Suppliers (CARS), Michael spoke to Metrolinx’s commitment to safety and reliability, our procurement process, and how we are navigating the pressure of tariffs. The discussion reinforced the importance of strong partnerships and collaboration as we continue building a more connected region.

Last week, Metrolinx President and CEO, Michael Lindsay, attended the Toronto Region Board of Trade (TRBOT) Home Field Advantage: Toronto’s Waterfront Game Plan event for a fireside chat moderated by TRBOT President and CEO, Giles Gherson. Alongside Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) President and CEO, Mandeep S. Lali, the discussion highlighted the strong partnership between Metrolinx and the TTC as preparations continue for the influx of visitors and fans ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™️. Keeping customers moving safely across the network, increasing transit service offerings and ensuring clear, timely communications remains a top priority. Michael shared both current and upcoming initiatives to enhance customer safety at Union Station, Exhibition Station, and across the transit system, increased service to support travel throughout the region and on match days, and the robust communications plans in place to keep customers informed every step of the way. Metrolinx is proud to collaborate with TRBOT and the TTC in advancing a shared vision of showcasing the Toronto region as a vibrant, globally competitive city.
