“Helping service members make the transition to civilian life, while also tackling the skilled trades shortage just makes sense,” said Joe McFarland, Lowe’s executive vice president of stores and Marine Corps veteran. “The team at Hiring Our Heroes has a great vision for doing both right here in Eastern North Carolina, and we’re excited to support this new training hub for the military community.” Our partnership with Hiring Our Heroes and the Lowe's Foundation is dedicated to helping U.S. veterans find fulfilling careers in the skilled trades. Together, we reflect a shared commitment to those who have served, and we’re deeply grateful to support their next chapter. #LowesLife #SkilledTrades #LowesFoundation "

From Part-Time Associate to Manager of the Year 🛠️ "If I could go back and speak to "2005, Part-Time Jarod" I would advise him not to force anything and don't question the path you are on. Be a servant leader above all else, focus on your people and everything will work out. That’s the biggest lesson I have learned in my 20 years here. You can only be as good as the team around you. Through all the trials and tribulations, I have come to understand the importance of being a people leader above all. Lead your people, and they will lead you to success.” - Jarod T., Store Manager #LowesLife

"In 2019, I was a cashier. If you had told me that six years later, I would be finishing my corporate internship introducing our CEO, I might not have believed you. But that’s where I’m at. It only took me a few months of working here to realize that I could and wanted to do more. As the years went on, I became motivated to see what opportunities there were beyond my store, which led me to learning about the corporate internship in 2021. I was fortunate to have leaders around me who kept it real with me. One of those leaders told me that in order to get where I wanted to go, getting my degree would be necessary. So, I applied and got accepted to our Guild program (debt-free tuition program for associates). I graduated, and that opened the door for my next step. Becoming a corporate intern was a very special moment for me as it was a direct reflection of my work, my patience, and my optimism through the years. It all led to one of the most impactful moments of my career when I was selected to introduce our CEO, Marvin Ellison, for the Executive Speaker Series in the final week of our internship. I went from applying to Lowe’s because there was a store five minutes from my house to meeting the CEO six years later. The most exciting part is that I know this is just the beginning, I look forward to my next steps here and am hungry for more." – Kyle C., Outlet Supervisor #LowesLife

We could not be more honored to be named a 2025 Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion by Disability:IN for the seventh year in a row! Last week marked the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act and as we reflect on that momentous day, we are proud to be recognized for our commitment to create an inclusive workplace for all. #LowesLife Image Description: The video animation shows two images. The first image displays a green square with “2025” and “UNITED STATES” in white text. Then the image adds on the right “DISABILITY INDEX” also in white text with a green horizontal line underneath. Below that is the text “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion” with “TM” subscript. The second image shows a dark blue background with the outline of a house in white, then the name “LOWE’S” appears inside the house also is white.

My biggest tips for interns (as someone who went from intern to full-time at Lowe’s): ⌚️ Be Proactive 📚 Be Willing to Learn 📝 Be Open to Feedback “This stage of your career is all about personal and professional growth. Being proactive, willing to learn, and open to feedback during this time will help you to understand your strengths, weaknesses, and will allow you to find the room for improvement.” - Nathan L., Packaging Design Coordinator
