Building next generation enterprise agents @ Kognitos | IITK

With the rapid rise of AI tools, it’s easy to be tempted into using them for every task—whether crafting text or generating code. While AI offers impressive speed and convenience, it’s crucial to pause and assess how much relying on these tools truly benefits your long-term career. For software engineers, especially those early in their journey, it’s important to resist the urge to have every line of code written by AI. Letting AI do all the heavy lifting can short-circuit your learning process and limit the depth of your technical understanding. Of course, this advice assumes your core goal is to grow as an engineer—if entrepreneurship and rapid prototyping are your main focus, the equation might look different. Personally, I rely on AI for routine coding tasks that don’t drive much personal learning, and I often use it to brainstorm designs, improve code quality, or spark new ideas. But when I’m picking up a new language or framework, I let myself struggle through the learning curve. That initial friction is part of building expertise. Even here at Kognitos we use LLMs heavily, but we heavily focus on learning, code reviews, design and critical thinking. (Side note: While even this post benefited from a final AI polish—the bulk of the thoughts were written without it.) The bottom line: Use AI intentionally to complement your growth, not replace it. Your experience and problem-solving skills are what set you apart. #ai #softwareengineering #careergrowth #intentionallearning

Healthcare teams are stuck in admin quicksand. Manual data entry, like ticket routing, forms, and vaccine reminders, is stealing time from patient care. We’re hosting a live webinar, led by Andrew Novich and George Williams, to show how Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) can help healthcare teams get back to care. You’ll see real examples of automation that: 💡Sorts support tickets instantly 💡Pulls HRA forms straight into patient charts 💡Sends reminders before vaccines expire No fluff. Just automation that actually works. Join us to see how Kognitos English-as-code automation can transform back-office and patient-facing processes. #Healthcare #AI #IDP #Automation #PatientCare

Legacy automation broke its promise. Too much code, too many “experts,” and not enough results. With Kognitos, enterprises automate in plain English. No developers, no brittle scripts, no excuses. That’s why Khosla Ventures is backing us, and why YourStory Media is talking about the shift to English as Code. "[Kognitos'] 'English as code' approach tackles some of the biggest hurdles in enterprise automation, such as the shortage of technical talent and the unpredictability of generative AI. Thank you, Bhuvana Kamath, for this great article. Read more at: https://lnkd.in/dc6tGbbQ

We couldn’t agree more with Pascal BORNET. Measuring AI agents by activity is a trap. The real value is evident in efficiency and business outcomes... time saved, errors eliminated, and ROI delivered. Activity is noise. Impact is the metric. If we had to choose one KPI, it would be business outcomes every time. #AI #Agents #KPI

📊 What’s the right KPI to measure an AI agent’s performance? Here’s the trap: most companies still measure the wrong thing. They track activity (tasks completed, chats answered) instead of impact. Based on my experience, effective measurement is multi-dimensional. Think of it as six lenses: 1️⃣ Accuracy – Is the agent correct? Response accuracy (right answers) Intent recognition accuracy (did it understand the ask?) 2️⃣ Efficiency – Is it fast and smooth? Response time Task completion rate (fully autonomous vs guided vs human takeover) 3️⃣ Reliability – Is it stable over time? Uptime & availability Error rate 4️⃣ User Experience & Engagement – Do people trust and return? CSAT (outcome + interaction + confidence) Repeat usage rate Friction metrics (repeats, clarifying questions, misunderstandings) 5️⃣ Learning & Adaptability – Does it get better? Improvement over time Adaptation speed to new data/conditions Retraining frequency & impact 6️⃣ Business Outcomes – Does it move the needle? Conversion & revenue impact Cost per interaction & ROI Strategic goal contribution (retention, compliance, expansion) Gartner predicts that by 2027, 60% of business leaders will rely on AI agents to make critical decisions. If that’s true, then measuring them right is existential. So, here’s the debate: Should AI agents be held to the same KPIs as humans (outcomes, growth, value) — or do they need an entirely new framework? 👉 If you had to pick ONE metric tomorrow, what would you measure first? #AI #Agents #KPIs #FutureOfWork #BusinessValue #Productivity #DecisionMaking

Our GTM team at Kognitos is growing! We’re building something pretty special here — automation that anyone can use in plain English (no code, no bots). Customers are already seeing the impact, and we’re coming off our best quarter yet. Now we’re expanding our sales footprint and looking to keep that momentum going. We’re hiring a few founder-mindset sellers in: 📍 Denver 📍 Bay Area 📍 New York This isn’t your typical AE gig. It’s a true hunter role: building pipeline from scratch, closing complex enterprise deals, and helping shape the GTM playbook as we go. If you like the idea of creating something new (and being part of a team rewriting the rules in automation), you’ll probably love it here. 💰 Comp: $250K–$350K OTE 📈 Equity: Meaningful ownership in a venture-backed company 🌍 Remote-first with team hubs + offsites 🩺 Benefits: Full health, dental, vision, wellness coverage Backed by top investors, moving fast, and still at a stage where every single person makes a massive impact. If this sounds like you (or someone you know), check it out here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gv7FaD5m

Medium states that organizations using agentic AI are seeing automation complete 25–40% of complex, 50-step workflows. This is nearly on par with junior analysts in terms of real-time execution. If your automation shatters at the first hiccup, you’re not using AI; you’re using brittle bots. Think your industry peers need to see this? Tag them. And follow us to see how Kognitos is redefining automation. #AI #Automation #IntelligentAgents #Mythbusters #Kognitos
