    TikTok Shop hosted its 1st Summit in LA last week — I got an invite. 🔥#trending Over the past months, GOJA has gone from zero TikTok presence to a 7-figure shop with hundreds of affiliates supporting us. Building this from the ground up has been a lot of fun for me. Here's what I’ve learned—and what I heard at the summit: 1. It’s early. Really early. ⏳ TikTok Shop is still in its frontier phase. The playbook isn’t written. Don’t wait for perfect—just start. 2. You don’t need a guru. 🎯 You need a good product, a clear audience, and an aggressive sampling strategy. Send the product. Let creators show the magic and support them. 3. TikTok is built for marketers. 🧰 The backend, data tools, affiliate infrastructure—it's a dream for those of us who cut our teeth on harder platforms. It’s not “easy,” but it’s way more open. 4. Size doesn’t matter. 🚀 Big brands are there. So are upstarts. What matters is: Are you showing up? Are you testing? Are you learning? 5. GMV is nice. EMV is better. 💡 Earned media from creators is the real value. The sweet spot? When your TikTok sales fund the brand content that fuels you across Amazon, DTC, and retail. 6. It takes time. 🔁 Consistency wins. Show up every week. Optimize. Iterate. Don’t expect a lightning strike—build momentum. TBH, I'm new to TikTok too.
