The breacher can now defend itself. Forterra's autonomous mission systems were put to the test at Fort Bragg, with a Ford F-250 carrying a 9 Mothers counter-drone turret. The truck clears the lane and kills the drone hunting it, with no soldier exposed. The Defence Blog has the story.

Our collaboration with Oshkosh Defense matured unmanned ground vehicles into a Program of Record built to scale for the United States Marine Corps. Common autonomy across platforms, interoperable with the systems Marines already use. That took more than engineering. It took earning confidence through years of evaluation, validated safety, and consistent performance. Together we are fielding capability today and defining what follows.
"Attritable" has no working definition in defense acquisition. It typically means cheap, unmanned, bought in bulk, or just "not the exquisite thing". Attritability is not a dollar threshold. It's a function of four variables that all have to hold at once: effect, human life, capital, and speed to replace.
