Developers who participate in six or more hackathons ship AI projects to production at 2.2x the rate of first-timers. Each tier of hackathon experience corresponds to a higher shipping rate, which means for companies investing in recurring hackathon programs, the returns compound with every event. The AI Trends Report 2026 breaks down how devs are building with AI. Get the link to the report in the comments 👇

If you have ever wanted to go deep on enterprise-grade observability tooling, the Splunk Agentic Ops Hackathon is your entry point. Splunk's unified data platform allows builders to ingest telemetry from across an entire infrastructure stack and surface insights through AI-native indexing and Search Processing Language. The challenge: architect agentic systems that respond to what the data tells them — autonomous threat detection, intelligent alert routing, real-time SLO enforcement. You bring the agent logic; Splunk brings the machine data at scale. Compete for $20,000 in prizes while building a project that genuinely advances your platform expertise. Deadline: June 15, 2026 Learn more and register: https://zurl.co/WCpnB

New industry report just launched 👇 Three years ago, one AI provider dominated developer projects. Today, market share is split across OpenAI's GPT, Google's Gemini, and Anthropic's Claude, and the competition is still moving fast. The AI Trends Report 2026 draws on data from millions of developers who have built on Devpost over the past 15 years to show how developer AI behavior is actually changing: which tools are gaining ground, what developers are building, and what organizers running AI programs need to understand going into the rest of 2026. The full picture is in the report. Link in the comments.

If you run hackathons, you're already using one of the most effective tools for driving AI adoption: getting people to actually build. But the approach is different depending on who you're trying to reach, and the outcomes you measure will vary too. Reaching developers looks different from upskilling employees—which looks different from helping customers deepen their use of your tools. This playbook maps out all three.
