Quite a crowd to welcome Rocky Mountain Honor Flight this afternoon at Gate A11. Volunteers, fellow travelers, and even the Air Force Women's Volleyball team gathered to welcome a group of approximately 30 veterans. The group of veterans will spend the next couple days visiting monuments and memorials across our region. Honor Flight Network

Exciting air service news announced this week! Southwest Airlines will begin nonstops to St Maarten on April 11. Frontier Airlines will begin service to Fort Lauderdale, Houston and Cancun in November and New Orleans in February.

Work continues inside our future A/B Connector! This space will house 5 boarding gates, new concessions and restrooms. The connector will shorten the walk between Concourses A and B. A new baggage handling system will also come online with substantial increases to capacity from the current system. We look forward to showing off this space as we approach its opening at year-end.

We are proud to be the host airport for this week's NEC/AAAE Annual Conference in Baltimore. From having a number of team members participate in sessions to displaying welcome signage throughout the airport to providing a construction tour to conference attendees, it was an honor to show off the airport and city. Keep an eye out for local art as you visit us for a late summer or fall getaway. "The Colors of Emotions" is the latest display at The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County Gateway Gallery. Whether the color is vibrant or soft, each color evokes an emotion. Look for the display on our Departures/Upper Level near Door 10.

We've made it easier for travelers to reduce waste and hassle from water bottles at Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoints. Liquid disposal stations have been installed near the entrance to all 4 checkpoints. These stations allow passengers to conveniently empty the contents of their bottle before continuing towards the document checking podium. We offer more than a dozen water stations in post-security locations.
