What an incredible morning in Tucson! This past weekend, Bank On Arizona was proud to host our inaugural Family Financial Fitness Fest, bringing together community members, financial institutions, nonprofit organizations and resource providers for a fun, engaging and impactful event focused on financial empowerment. We extend our sincere gratitude to our amazing partners who helped make this event possible: Academy Bank, JPMorganChase, Dress for Success Arizona, Growth Partners Arizona, Groundswell Capital, Latino Community Foundation, Tucson Federal Credit Union, Tucson Industrial Development Authority, U.S. Bank, WaFd Bank, the University of Arizona Take Charge America Institute and the International Rescue Committee (IRC). Your commitment to strengthening financial wellness across Arizona is making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families. A special thank you goes to the City of Tucson Small Business Center for hosting us in their outstanding facility and helping create a welcoming environment for attendees. One of the most rewarding aspects of the event was hearing directly from community members. From entrepreneurs who had recently launched an LLC and were seeking guidance on next steps, to individuals exploring banking options and learning how to open accounts, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. It was inspiring to see so many people taking proactive steps toward a stronger financial future. Of course, the morning was made even better with delicious local coffee and pastries, vendor giveaways and swag, and free face painting that kept our youngest attendees smiling throughout the event. Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered and supported this initiative. Together, we are expanding access to financial education, banking services and economic opportunity throughout Arizona. Stay tuned as Bank On Arizona continues its statewide mission. We’re already looking ahead to our next community event and hope to bring the Family Financial Fitness Fest to another region of Arizona later this year as we continue extending our impact across the state. Thank you for believing in this initiative and helping us build a more financially empowered Arizona, one community at a time. Jessica Cannon, M.Ed.

We loved welcoming Shauna Vasquez, Vice President of Member Experience at Tucson Federal Credit Union, to yesterday’s Bank On Arizona Coalition Meeting. Shauna shared more about the credit union’s new Bank On–certified account, MyMoney Checking, and how it’s helping expand access to safe, affordable banking options. We’re excited to have Tucson Federal Credit Union on board as we continue strengthening partnerships with credit unions across the state. Together, Bank On Arizona is working to expand access to trusted financial tools that help more Arizonans build a stronger financial future.
