I'm incredibly proud to share what we've built for SoCal Deep Tech Week 2025, Sept 15-19, after we decided to "give it a shot" more than 12 months ago.
None of this happens without Emily G., Brandon F., and supporting cast who believed in the vision from day one and helped turn conversations into reality. But we can't forget the one who help set this in motion, Rahul Singh.
And our presenting partners, Rockwell Automation (Sarah Hinds), Fenwick & West (Patrick Grilli), HSBC (Wesley Adjei), City of El Segundo (Barbara Voss & Cristina Reveles), and supporting partners, who stepped up as true stewards of dialogue that matters - they understood that some conversations are too important to leave to chance.
After months of work, we've assembled something we didn't think was possible: Space Systems Command & JPL sitting across from Van Espahbodi from Generational Partners. Idaho National Laboratory Christopher Ritter keynoting alongside deep tech investors. The CEOs building tomorrow's autonomous systems debating capital strategies with Pentagon innovation leaders.
This isn't just a conference. This is the conversation America and her allies need to have.
September 16-18 in the City of El Segundo:
Day 1 - Global Domain Awareness: Space Force + JPL talking about the next space frontier. What the future of autonomy looks like with Dan Magy 🏴☠️ (Firestorm), Mike Flanigan (Seasats), and Zane Mountcastle (Picogrid), moderated by Mary Mattingly from Skapa by Saab. We're asking the hard question - how do we secure the ultimate high ground when our adversaries are moving fast? Michael W. MacKay, Drew "Murph" Busbee, Jacqueline Tame.
Day 2 - Nuclear Renaissance : Idaho National Laboratory is keynoting the AI-nuclear convergence. The scientists designing tomorrow's reactors, the investors funding them, and the debate we can't avoid: "We Can't Win a War Without Nuclear Energy." Josh Zoffer, Newt McKissick, Daniel W.
Day 3 - The Factory Rebuilt: Marshall Kosloff from Hudson Institute, Ryan Gariepy from Rockwell Automation, and Jesse Gipe from Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) exploring how we rebuild the Arsenal of Democracy. Kevin Klowden, Arthur Karell.
What makes me most grateful is the caliber of people who said yes, and the partners who made it possible. These are the leaders shaping policy in Washington, building companies in SoCal, and designing the future in Idaho. They're giving us three days because they know these conversations matter.
This is about ensuring America and her allies remains the place where the future gets built. Where innovation meets national purpose. And it's happening in El Segundo.
I can't wait to see what comes out of these rooms. Full programming dropping soon. Make sure your subscribed: https://lnkd.in/gyj4H4xZ
