The Davis City Council has approved raising fees for various city services after a study revealed the city had fallen behind on fee increases. Among some of the changes: The city is adding a fee to rent a picnic spot. A covered picnic shelter will cost $67 an hour or $402 a day. An uncovered spot will cost $41 an hour or $246 a day. The price of a token at the Playfield Park batting cage will go up from $3 to $15. Street use permits will increase from $35 to $69, and noise permits will rise from $35 to $75.
