Our History

Catholic education in Middletown dates back over 100 years, rooted in the former St. Mary, St. John, and St. Sebastian Parish schools. In fall 2013, a diocesan initiative merged St. Mary and St. John schools to form St. John Paul II Regional School, supported by all parishes in the Middletown Deanery. Today, St. John Paul II continues its mission to provide rigorous academics and faith formation for PreK–8 students, drawing on its deep heritage and commitment to lifelong learning and Catholic values.
