Ontario’s public sector access and privacy laws have changed as a result of Bill 97, A Plan to Protect Ontario Act (Budget Measures), 2026, with further changes in force on July 1 and September 15, 2026 and January 1, 2027. Some IPC guidance is under review and subject to change. Learn more.
