Oscars 2017: Fantastic Beasts Wins First Academy Award for Harry Potter Franchise

These Fantastic Beasts can be found at the Academy Awards.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them won the Best Costume Design honor at the 2017 Oscars.
This award marks the first Oscar the Harry Potter universe film franchise has ever won. All of the Harry Potter films, including Fantastic Beasts, have been collectively nominated 14 times but never previously honored at the Academy Awards. Fantastic Beasts is also nominated for Best Production Design.
The Sorcerer's Stone, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, Half-Blood Prince, Deathly Hallows — Part 1, and Deathly Hallows — Part 2 were all previously nominated for Oscars.

Fantastic Beasts won a BAFTA Award earlier this year for Best Production Design.
