• Union Station, often billed as Alison Krauss & Union Station, recorded their first album backing Krauss in 1987, Two Highways. The group's 2001 album, New Favorite, was their first to break the Top 40 on the Billboard 200, hitting No. 35.
   
• Alison Krauss & Union Station earned their first GRAMMY for 1992 for Every Time You Say Goodbye, which took home Best Bluegrass Album honors. The band performed onstage multiple times at the 39th GRAMMY Awards in 1997 during a country music segment with Vince Gill and Patty Loveless, and a bluegrass tribute to Bill Monroe.
   
• Alison Krauss & Union Station's "It Doesn't Matter," a song from 1997's So Long So Wrong, was featured in the season two premiere of the hit TV show "Buffy The Vampire Slayer."
   
• The group performed "No More Lonely Nights" at the 2012 MusiCares Person of the Year tribute gala honoring Paul McCartney. The annual Person of the Year gala raises funds for MusiCares, which provides services and resources that cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies for music people.
   
• In 2015 Alison Krauss & Union Station performed at a Feed the Need concert in Alton, Ill., to raise money and awareness for Senior Services Plus' Meals on Wheels program.
