I wish I could have done more for Mermay this year but at least I got to do something I started working on a little bit ago.
This is a redraw of something from... jesus, 2008, 18 years ago XD ouch!
Looking back at the pic, it so looks like a child's drawing haha, but I love looking at my old art, almost as much as I love redrawing it!
The irony is right now with the heatwave we've been having here, I could absolutely do with hanging out in some cool water. But back when I did a sketch for this initially, it was like mid march (maybe around the same time I drew the original picture actually), and it damn was still cold.
I do love drawing Tomoyo here transformed into different creatures haha. But I do love some of my old (bad) drawings of her as a mermaid, and I really wanted to redraw this one cus it was always one of my favs.
Personally quite happy with the renewal!
