The first two sutures are taken through the anterior rectus sheath, where EOA is fused with it and each suture is passed first through the inguinal ligament, then the
transversalis fascia and then the EOA.
The mesh is in direct contact with the fascia of the
transversalis muscle in the pre-peritoneal space, which later gets fixed due to adhesions.
