Karen said it is "heartbreaking" to watch Cora in the company of children her own age running around freely, whilst she is "confined to her 'K' walker or the grasp of our hands".

The procedure is designed to permanently remove all spasticity in Cora's leg muscles and help her to build muscle so she can learn to walk independently.

The exact terms of the deal were not disclosed, according to Cora Systems CEO Philip Martin.
