The first of the three tests employs only the three test variables, the second employs the three test variables and the 18 credit quality
control variables, and the third employs only the credit quality
control variables.
Exhibit 3 shows the value of exploratory analysis for estimating policy impacts when
control variables (e.g., fertility rates) can take on a range of possible values that are outside the policy maker's direct control.
In the hierarchical regression analysis, the
control variables were entered first, followed by aggregated cohesiveness and salience, and finally, the interaction of the two aggregated variables was entered.
The coefficient estimates imply that a one-percentage point rise in the debt-service ratio sustained for four quarters (holding constant the
control variables) will reduce the quarterly growth rate of spending on durables by almost one percentage point, reduce the quarterly growth rate of total spending by about one-quarter of a percentage point, and reduce the growth rate of spending on nondurable goods and services by about one-fifth of a percentage point.
Because the directions of causation among caregiving structure, process, and outcomes are often bi-directional, with many mediating variables, correlations of the statistical
control variables with the experimental group dummy variable will lead to biased coefficients throughout the model.
The
control variables tended to differ across referral source.
Table 4 Summary Table of Significant Statistics of Dependent Variable (Arbitration outcome) with Independent (Race/Ethnicity) and
Control Variables (in percentages): Hitters Winning arbitration percentage (low) Control Var.
We have included four human capital factors as
control variables: (1) the amount of work experience the person had before and after the business training program; (2) the type of business training the person received; (3) whether or not the person's work history subsequent to the terminal educational program was continuous or interrupted and (4) employer changes.

Control variables. Age, parental education and study background of students were used as controlled variables.
The regression model was first run without
control variables and then again with the following
control variables: mergers and acquisitions (M & A) (Wallace, 1997); new CEO (Ittner, Larcker, & Rajan, 1997; Wallace, 1997); financial health (Altman Z-score); and length of product development and life cycles (Said, HassabElnaby, & Wier, 2003; HassabElnaby, Said, & Wier, 2005); and industry Return on Assets (ROA) ratio and industry volatility (standard deviation of industry ROA) (Ittner, Larcker, & Rajan, 1997).
The previous works generally decouple the longitudinal and lateral control, design control logics for hover, transition flight, and forward flight, respectively, and regard some redundant
control variables as constants to solve the transition maneuver control problem.
In Section 2, to prevent the spread of rumor, we introduce two
control variables in rumor spreading model with time delay, and we use the optimal control techniques to find the optimal solution of the dynamics system.
The result of
control variables showed that growth in assets, growth in earnings, growth in sales and size have a significant positive impact on stock market prices while liquidity, leverage and profit after tax have no significant impact on stock market prices during our study period.
