The daughter of Leaf Mother Laurel and Tree Father Birch,[1] 8-year-old Yew was born in Oasis.[2] For her fifth birthday, her parents gifted her a bear charm.[3] She considers Harold to be her best friend,[4] a feeling that is reciprocated by him, as Harold enjoys having her listening to his stories.[5]
