After really enjoying their last album, I was looking forward to this one. It didn’t disappoint. Yes, this album did go in a more pop direction, but there was still enough on here to keep me interested.
Though I didn’t pay too much attention, you could even tell from the lyrics that there had been previous internal conflict within the band. But that just makes for some interesting songs, doesn’t it?
Paramore came back to tour Australia in Jan 2014. They again put on a great performance (Aaron Gillespie was the drummer), but what blew me away was the support band – a then little-known band called Twenty One Pilots…

Found this for $5 in the new arrival bin at my favorite record store a few years ago, still shocked. It's very stiff competition but I think this is my favorite Paramore album so great find!
I got this back in 2013 and it sounds flawless, everything is crystal clear, and the drums are such a stand out on this record.
Unfortunately stuffing 2 LPs into one sleeve caused the bottom to come unglued and slit apart. I would love this release in a gatefold jacket.
Maybe we got a bad pressing, but this one is so muffled sounding. Standard 2lp black. We put after laughter on and its night and day with how much clearer it sounds.

Big, bright sound, excellent on the crunchier tracks and the more quiet acoustic numbers.- No issues with my copy; sounds pretty good on my (budget) set-up.
- Edited 6 years agoBought one, had giant scratch through B1 and B2 and scuff marks all over each side. Returned it to a different store location and the second was the same. Stay away from this.
November 23, 2019 Update - Bought another at a local record store and it was in perfect condition.
