I have to disagree with the other comment about this pressing being too bright. In my system there's an impressive depth to be heard. There's enough bass to feel a connection to the rhythm section and the high frequencies are what you'd expect from a Japanese pressing. Clear and and very quiet Vinyl. Very happy with it.
I love John Lennon, I love his albums, this one is no exception.
Surprisingly good tbh, found one in suspicious condition and after a good clean its playing rich and feels deep, great lows and surprisingly balanced highs, would recommend ngl- I'm with MoonlightMilesLP below. I know this album, originally, was never an audiophile's nocturnal emissions inspiring recording, but this is next level thick. It's as bad as that GM mixed Let It Be, except Let It Be didn't have this large amount of warble to it.
That said, the warble might be the fault given age of tape and all. Some of these songs are on an 80's club pressing comp album I have. It sounds better than this. 
Can't recommend it personally. Not only does Rainbo do its usual Rainbo effort on my pressing but the sound is very inconsistent. I'll start off with the only highlight- why does Crippled Inside actually sound quite good but no other track jumps out at me? It's odd. Maybe they were given a different source for that song. But most other tracks sound very veiled or compressed compared to the UK 1st pressing and EMI 100. The intro to It's So Hard sounds absolutely awful. The knobs just got turned up a lot, that's all it sounds like. I'm sure if this is all you have then you'll like it but I highly recommend finding anything else.

Good work on the sound (I think it's been remastered well) and the artwork, the poster, and the bonus disc make this edition worthy of an album like Imagine.
