Black Sabbath – Sabotage

I bought this album from a half price books about 15 years ago. I like some Ozzy stuff, crazy train is a killer track, used to listen to Paranoid in high school with friends, but not really a fan-fan. I picked this up just because I liked the album cover. Never listened to it. Listened today just as a random pick and I was blown away! The songs and the performances are incredible, and the production and mastering punch way above what I was expecting! And it's a NM first pressing. Today was a good day.

I want evidence that this is unofficial, because Black Sabbath - Sabotage looks the same I think even in the matrix area.

Great pressing! Loud bright and meaty without any extra mastering. Sounds hot off tape. Recommended if you can find a nr mint one just go for it..

have this but on my copy they legit forgot to even etch out the S in "Sabbotage" LMFAO, what a nugget of a release

I know this is the album that is pointed to as the decline of Sabbath but it still has some great stuff on it. Even if you’re just a casual fan it is worth owning.

I would love for this thread to be about fidelity, as it´s mostly what people are looking for here. So many different pressings, and therefor a good place to guide each other. So: has anyone compared this 1 issue UK ed, with other releases, i would love to know?

Anyone notice the gain significantly drop about a minute through hole in the sky? That first minute sounds fantastic but then it gets noticeably quieter and less dynamic.

Indeed, the inner pages describe "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath". Yet the mastering is for me better than the one made in 2009.

Terrific sounding edition...absolutely cranks through my old Sansui. As mentioned, the liner notes are somewhat difficult to make out (wear your readers and you'll do okay! The teeny, multi-colored print isn't unusual for today's re-issues). This pressing does include the little mystery track "Blow on a Jug", which I had never heard until recently (after listening to this album for 45 years...don't think it was on my old cassette or CD!). It's nothing, but I'm glad it's there for completion sake.
