- 1st press of this album is superb - flat quiet vinyl with great bass, dynamics, clarity and soundstage. Definitely more depth and bottom end to the listening experience compared to the 2003 CD - can’t compare it to the vinyl reissues…And of course an absolutely stellar record from Strummer from start to finish.
Five star music but fidelity a bit flat as if bass is slightly boosted at the expense of the midrange. This limits the soundstage and kinda evens it out in a flat image. Surprising because it’s a Howie Weinberg Masterdisk cut! Not terrible, mind you (still four stars) but not an audiophile grade cut. [Tech specs in my profile].
I’m returning this one. Lots of sibilance on both sides for a few of the songs on this particular (new) copy. Pretty nice packaging, but I can’t get past this irritation. Buyer beware
A very clean sounding record. Surprisingly quiet, with good dynamics and nice mid-range. Great album.

I just saw on the Dark Horse Instagram account that this will be re-pressed and available in October 2023. I assume it will be black vinyl, to maintain the exclusivity of the white RSD version.

Strummer fans: BEWARE of any seller on here with no ratings. There is a scammer “selling” this pressing, but he never delivers. They keep reappearing with different user names.

Missed scoring this on RSD, but managed to grab a copy for a bit more, early on Discogs. So happy I did -- vinyl is flat, silent and clean! I haven't heard the OG vinyl, but this remastered Dark Horse Records repress is clear with nice separation and punchy low end. I forgot how much i enjoyed this record! Such a wonderful, posthumous celebration of JS. Thanks, Martin & Scott...
