Profile: | German record company and factory, creator of the Odeon label. Registered on October 27, 1903 by Frederick Marion Prescott, ex-director of International Zonophone Company, who left the company alongside chief engineers and employees after it's buyout by Gramophone & Typewriter Ltd.. Odeon records were distributed by Kalliope Musikwerke A.-G. until December 31, 1904 where Odeon began to branch out. In the same year, Odeon published the first double-sided 78RPMs in Germany
