A subsidiary label for the Spanish company Discos Columbia, S.A..
In the 70s the company started to open Latin American and US branches, 'Alhambra Records Corporation', commonly abridged to Alhambra Records.
The opening of a new office for Alhambra Records in Puerto Rico was announced in Billboard 14. Juli 1973 page 21.
Since 1976 also used Al Records (3) as label.
The US branch was Alhambra Records, Inc. for some time, but changed name.
