Profile: | Alexander Goedicke (1877–1957) was a Russian composer, organist, pianist, professor of the Moscow Conservatory, People's Artist of the RSFSR (1946) and laureate of the Stalin Prize (1948). He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory in 1898 after studying with Paul Pabst and Anton Stepanovich Arensky. In 1900, Goedicke won the Third Rubinstein Competition in Vienna.
