A combination of science-fiction and satire of the music business. Herbnik's musical downfall is an obvious reference to the copying of African-American music by white performers in the late '50s.
This and "Too Much Love" are early examples of how stories in this title began shifting toward portraying a more romantic relationship between Archie and Betty, a response to readers who wanted to see her get Archie more often.
Bingo takes Rebel to "Doyle's Animal Hospital," named for Archie head writer Frank Doyle.
